This episode introduces students to the slope-intercept (y = mx + b) form of a linear equation. After identifying four steps to quickly graph equations in slope-intercept form, we practice this technique. We then learn that real world situations that have a rate of constant increase or decrease and a particular starting amount are most easily described in slope-intercept form and go out into the world to experience several such situations.
